Pattaya Walking Street
Glowing colorful neon signs illuminates this renowned street of Pattaya at night. The Walking Walking Street, an entertainment area that has 100 beer bars, more than 30 go-go bars, sport bars, discos, cabaret shows, massage parlors, and a wide range of ethnic restaurants as well as seafood line up in the main street and many more in the side-Soi leading towards Pratamnak Road. It starts from the south end of Beach Road to Bali Hai Pier. The street is free from vehicles from 06.00 pm. - 02.00 am. The legal closing time is 02.00 am.

By Car (2 hours)
Located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya is 147 km from Bangkok and can be reached in 2 hours by car.
- Bangkok-Chonburi-Pattaya Motorway (Highway No.7). The motorway is linked with Bangkok's Outer Ring Road (Highway No. 9). There are entrances to the hightway at Si Nakharin and Rama IX Junction.
- Bangna Trat Highway (Highway No. 34) From Bangna, Bangphlee, cross over Bang Pakong River to Chonburi. Take Chonburi bypass to meet Sukhumvit Road (Highway No. 3), pass Bang Saen Beach and Bang Phra to reach Pattaya.
- Bangkok - Minburi (Highway No.304), pass Chachoengsao and Bang Pakong river to reach Chonburi.
Most hotels in Bangkok provide limousine service from the hotel to Pattaya.
By Bus
There are bus services departing Bangkok throughout the day. Air-conditioned and non-aircon coaches regularly depart from the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai), Northern Bus Terminal (Mochit) on Kamphaengphet Road and Southern Bus Terminal on Borommarat Chonnani Road.

There is also direct bus service from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya. It runs daily from 06.30 am. to 07.00 pm. More information on the service can be obtained at the Public Transportation Centre at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Tel: 02-134-4099, 02-132-9171.
By Rail
On Mondays to Fridays, from Hua Lamphong Train Station, 3rd class train (non-airconditioned) departs at 06.55 am. and arrives at Pattaya station at 10.34 am. before continuing to Sattahip. From Pattaya to Bangkok, the train arrives at Pattaya Station at 02.21 pm. and terminates in Bangkok at 06.25 pm. There is advanced booking available.
Pattaya has two train stations located in the east of Sukhumvit Road:
- Pattaya Train Station is the main stop, located in the north of the junction with Central Pattaya Rd. There are local minibus and motorbike taxi services waiting around the station to take passengers anywhere in the Pattaya Beach area. To board the train at this station, passengers must buy tickets beforehand. The ticket office is open from 8 am. - 4 pm.
- Pattaya Tai Train Station is a small station located about 3 km further south. It is closer to Jomtien, near the Sukhumvit Thepprasit Road
By Plane Suvarnabhumi International Airport
Suvarnabhumi Airport is located only 110 km from Pattaya. Therefore, transfers by road are inexpensive and quick. It is made easy and convenient by the Highway. There are licenced taxi services from the airport. The one-way fares are around 1,200 Baht excluding 60 Baht for two toll fees. It takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to Pattaya in non-peak hours.
Don Muang Airport
Don Muang Airport was superseded by Suvarnabhumi Airport in 2006 and re-opened in 2007. It currently handles Nok Air, One-Two-GO, PB Air and most Thai Airways domestic flights. Travelling by taxi is the easiest way to Pattaya but one can also go by bus via Mo Chit (Bangkok's Northern Bus Terminal) or by train via Hualamphong Train Station.
U-Tapao Airport
U-Tapao Airport is located 30km south of Pattaya, off the Sattahip - Chanthaburi (Sukhumvit) Highway or 45 minutes drive to Pattaya. It is used as a military facility, it's the closest airport fielding commercial passenger flights. There are no commercial passenger flights connecting U-Tapao directly with Bangkok. Bangkok Airways provides daily flights connecting Ko Samui and U-Taphao Airport.
